Gozo or Ghawdex in Maltese is the second largest island of the Maltese archipelago, located in the Mediterranean Sea. Gozo has been influenced by the cultures of a series of peoples like Phoenician, Roman, Arab, Norman, Spanish, French, British and the Knights of St. John (better known as Knights of Malta).

The main tourist attractions in Gozo include also the Cathedral Church of Gozo, Aurora Theater, Santwarju tal-Madonna ta' Pinu, St. George's Basilica and Parish, Astra Theater, the Inland Sea, Fungus Rock, the Azure Window, Ramla Bay and Fontana Springs.

Like on its sister island of Malta, Gozo features a few well developed beach resorts where can be spent all inclusive holidays. The hotel room rates depend mainly on the season (the most convenient travel deals can be found, of course, off season) and as result tourists are advised to book accommodation before the crowd of summer vacations!
